Panoramica

The Degree in “Filosofia” aims to provide a solid knowledge of the history of philosophical and scientific thought from antiquity to the present and extensive information on the current debates in the different fields of philosophical research (theoretical, logical-epistemological, linguistic, aesthetic, ethical, socio-political, pedagogical).
The aim of the course is not only to provide a set of knowledge, but also to acquire the terminology and methodology for the analysis of problems and for ways of reading and commenting the texts (including in the original language) .
The course has an interdisciplinary vocation typical of philosophy; the degree program requires the training of students to be integrated with other areas of humanistic, scientific, and informatics culture, through teachings that represent specific skills.

The Bachelor’s Degree foresee two curricula with a specific study plan each: in Philosophy and Philosophy and Humanities.
In both of the two curricula there are some fundamental subjects, providing both historical-philosophical and theoretical-philosophical training with reference to the current debate.
In the Philosophy curriculum, this training is deepened and integrated with subjects in the fields of historical, literary, psycho-pedagogical, socio-anthropological and political-economic disciplines.
In the Philosofophy and Humanities curriculum an in-depth integration of the philosophical and psychological, pedagogical and socio-anthropological disciplines is offered. In this curriculum students acquire the necessary ETCS to access the Master’s Degrees in Psychology as well as the Master’s Degrees in Philosophy.

A characteristic and highly qualifying aspect of our degree course in Philosophy is in the exceptional books collection collected in the humanities libraries, typical of a traditional European university.
All members can access the Erasmus or the Socrates program, aimed at allowing study periods in European universities involved in these projects, with recognition of exams taken abroad.
