An appointed Committee will evaluate the suitability of the Bachelors’ Degree of the candidates for the access to this Master Degree and whether the courses and exams that they took meet the requested number of ECTS credits or the equivalent number of hours in courses related to Geological Sciences.

Panoramica
The Geosciences for Energy, Mineral and Water Resources Curriculum is a specialization of the Master’s program in Geosciences for Sustainable Development (Corso di Laurea Magistrale in Geoscienze per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile) at the University of Pavia, offered entirely in English.
This track provides advanced interdisciplinary training on the dynamics and management of the Earth system, focusing on the complex interactions between geological-environmental systems and human activities. It prepares specialists to utilize scientific methodologies, geodata analysis techniques, monitoring technologies and modelling tools essential for sustainable land management, resource mapping and use.

Your study:
- Classroom learning: integrates traditional learning with innovative solution, such as Virtual Reality.
- Practical activities: include extensive laboratory work, field surveys, and mandatory national/international internships.
- Core disciplinary areas: focus on hydrogeology, remote sensing, geochemistry, mineralogy, and energy resource management, highlighting critical world’s challenges such as Climate Change, Energy Transition, and the Sustainable use of Natural Resources.
You will acquire key expertise to work in public and private organizations, as well as in industrial and research environments. You will be trained to develop sustainable solutions for natural resource management, environmental monitoring, risk assessment, and innovative approaches to geoscience challenges, contributing to the advancement of global sustainable development goals.
