Panoramica
Il Corso di Laurea Magistrale in Antichità classiche e orientali forma laureati di secondo livello dotati di un’alta competenza scientifica e metodologica in diversi campi di studio dell’antichità, sia greca e latina, sia vicino-orientale, e, di conseguenza, in grado di intepretare con consapevolezza critica i dati letterari, storici, culturali e materiali relativi al loro specifico ambito disciplinare.
L’offerta formativa prevede corsi progrediti, sia frontali, sia seminariali, organizzati in diversi curricula, che integrano una solida preparazione antichistica di base con il raggiungimento di più specifici ed elevati obiettivi formativi, nel campo dell’analisi linguistica, filologica e storico-letteraria dei testi in lingua greca e latina; della storia evenemenziale e socio-economica del mondo greco-romano; della storia, delle lingue e delle culture di area vicino-orientale (Anatolia, Siria, Mesopotamia) in epoca preclassica.

Sbocchi professionali
The methodological, exegetical and critical skills acquired during the Master’s Degree course in Antichità classiche e orientali prepare graduates for teaching in upper secondary schools, once the training course required by current legislation is completed, as well as research activity at the university and at related institutions.
The employability of Master’s graduates may also extend to management functions in libraries, archives and museums, as well as high-level professional activities in the fields of training, promotion, organization, information, publishing, communication and cultural tourism. Graduates will also have the knowledge and preparation necessary to undertake a direct path to the journalistic profession.
Locations of professional activities to which graduates of Antichità classiche e orientali will be able to access include: schools; universities; research institutions; public administration; local authorities; foundations; cultural institutions, both in Italy and abroad; publishing houses, and private companies engaged in the recovery, conservation, enhancement and dissemination of ancient culture.
