Requisiti linguistici | italiano Non-eu students residing abroad who would like to enroll in a bilingual study course taught in Italian and English, must prove their knowledge of the Italian language through an Italian language test. The test will be organized by CISIA, in collaboration with the University of Pavia. To find out the dates and how to register consult the website at this page . The following categories are excluded from this obligation: students in possession of an Italian language certification of level B2 or higher (such as CILS, CELI, Roma3 or PLIDA) English Knowledge of English corresponding at least to a B2 level or have taken a university course of English worth at least 6 European Credits or having graduated in a bachelor degree entirely taught in English. |

Panoramica
The master’s degree program in “Sviluppo Economico e Relazioni Internazionali” (SERI) belongs to the International Relations department, and offers multidisciplinary training essential for the analysis and interpretation of economic, political and social phenomena of international dimensions.
Together with a solid economic preparation, the multidisciplinary approach of the SERI Master’s course intends to provide a broad and up-to-date view of the complex and dynamic international reality, also referring to the tradition of internationalist studies that has historically characterized the University of Pavia.
The disciplinary areas – economics, statistics, law, political and social sciences, history, languages – that contribute to SERI training are the expression of the different dynamics that interact in the international system and different methodological approaches through which the world is studied and interpreted.
In addition to the advanced teaching of English, the course offers also classes in French, Spanish, German, Arabic, Chinese and Japanese.
Deepening knowledge of the various dimensions and components of the international reality, SERI focuses on the study of the economic-institutional and historical-political issues that accompany globalization and the transformation of international structures.
Among the topics to which particular attention is given we find:
international cooperation and policies for development, analysis of processes and mechanisms of integration in the various regions of the globe, knowledge of relations between industrialized and emerging countries, the study of international organizations, international politics of different subjects of the contemporary world ,and techniques for data analysis.

La formazione multidisciplinare e la caratterizzazione internazionalistica del corso magistrale “SERI”, arricchita dalle conoscenze linguistiche a un buon livello di approfondimento (nelle lingue europee e/o nelle lingue extra-europee), consente ai laureati magistrali di questo corso di disporre delle competenze necessarie per inserirsi come specialisti in scienze economiche, sociali e politiche in posizioni di livello intermedio e superiore nell’ambito delle amministrazioni dello Stato, delle organizzazioni internazionali intergovernative o non governative, di imprese private (nazionali o multinazionali) che operano sui mercati internazionali, nonché di altre organizzazioni pubbliche o private con proiezione internazionale.
In relazione agli specifici approfondimenti offerti (sia con riferimento alle tematiche europee sia a quelle relative ai paesi in via di sviluppo), costituiscono uno sbocco occupazionale privilegiato gli organismi europei e le organizzazioni e le professioni di ambito socio-economico a essi collegate, nonché le organizzazioni governative e non governative attive nel campo della cooperazione internazionale allo sviluppo, e le professioni di ambito socio-economico a esse collegate.
La preparazione acquisita su tematiche economiche, storiche, politiche e giuridiche in ambito internazionale oltre alla possibilità di approfondire la conoscenza di almeno due lingue straniere, fornisce ai laureati di questo corso le conoscenze di base richieste per partecipare al concorso per la carriera diplomatica.
Infine, il corso fornisce una preparazione utile a proseguire gli studi in vista di una professione anche nel campo della ricerca scientifica negli ambiti disciplinari caratteristici del suo profilo, in particolare nelle discipline economiche e nelle scienze politiche e sociali.
