If you are a non European student residing abroad, you need to do a pre-enrollment via Italian Consulate and start the visa procedures. The official admission at the University of Pavia will be possible only after you will have done this pre-enrollment. The Master’s Degree in “Economia e gestione delle imprese” (hereinafter MEGI) aims to offer a solid preparation in the management field, in order to provide participants with the knowledge necessary to face the continuous changes that characterize the current economic systems and, at the same time, to equip them with suitable cognitive tools to stimulate interest in continuous updating, in the deepening of knowledge and specific skills of their professional field.
The training profile of the graduate in Economics and Business Management aims to respond to the need of the economic-productive system (both in the industrial and services sectors) to be able to rely on professionals with interdisciplinary skills and is one of the convergent areas of the management of companies both private – profit and non-profit – and public.
The course also aims to provide an advanced theoretical and methodological training that allows the graduate in Economics and Business Management to formulate strategic choices consistent with the competitive context in which they will find themselves exercising their professional or managerial activity and implementing them through the organization of the main company functions.
On the basis of these premises, a training course has been set up, divided into four semesters, in which the set of fundamental teachings to provide a solid methodological basis are flanked by lessons capable of enhancing the various scientific disciplinary sectors that can best contribute to the definition of a training profile able to combine the methodologies of the company management with the specific characteristics of the sectors of economic activity.
The main differences in terms of skills and research fields recognizable within the same disciplinary sector, find the best expression in the MEGI course, becoming an integral part of the specialization that is pursued with the training proposal.
In order to bring the student into the workplace, students are given the opportunity to include in their curriculum internship activities at national and international business realities.
The training course ends with the preparation and subsequent discussion of a dissertation prepared in an original way by the candidate under the supervision of one or more teachers and in collaboration with company tutors.

The course prepares the graduate to several positions:
- Manager of business activity, either in private profile or non-profit or public firms;
- Entrepreneur of new business activities, leader of organizations and promoter of their modernization;
- Manager of functional areas within the company, such as marketing, production, organization;
- Operator of the public area with specific vocation to occupy a key role in the modernization of public administration and the management of public-private relations;
- Working positions related to the process of European integration and globalization, in which the graduate in MEGI will be able to exploit the interdisciplinary and intercultural approach developed during the academic curriculum.
