In order to enrol in our bachelor in Ingegneria Elettronica e Informatica and to thrive in your studies, we think you need to have some basic knowledge of mathematics and English language.

The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: Italian.
You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university.
If you are a non European student residing abroad, you need to do a pre-enrollment via Italian Consulate and start the visa procedures. The official admission at the University of Pavia will be possible only after you will have done this pre-enrollment. Please get in contact with the Italian authority in your country as soon as possible (deadline 24 July).
Non-eu students residing abroad who would like to enroll in a study course completely taught in Italian, such as Ingegneria Elettronica e Informatica at our University, have to prove their knowledge of Italian through a test as explained here
You do not have to take the test if you enrol in a study course completely taught in English or if you have a certificate proving your knowledge of Italian of level B2 (such as CILS, CELI, Roma3 or CLIDA) – QCER (Common European Framework). More information on our linguistic centre website.
Students also need to have a basic knowledge of English – Level 2 (Common European Framework). You can prove this knowledge with an English certification listed here
If you have been awarded a certificate of knowledge of English language not included in this list you can anyway submit it with your enrolment document and ask for a recognition. Our Dean with the collaboration of the English Language Coordinator will consider your application.
If you do not have any certification you can take the English section of the TOLC-I test (our access test) and if you pass it, this will prove your knowledge of English. More information about TOLC-I here

Choosing an engineering degree course means being willing to play an important part in our growing and fast developing society. Engineering is the right choice for prospective student
with a strong interest not only in scientific subjects but also in their application and with a “problem solving” attitude. The Faculty of Engineering at University of Pavia also offers an highly effective teaching by professors with a strong scientific background and a direct connection with the economic environment: this two characteristics make the scientific research and teaching at the Faculty of Engineering constantly linked to a growing industry.
This course aims to train professionals with the necessary skills to work in the Information Engineering field with a focus on electronic, informatics, automation and telecommunication. A graduate from the bachelor’s degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering will be able to deal with the main issues of information society working with industries and organizations or as freelances. The knowledge acquired during their academic studies is used by the students to work also in international contest working on both designing and managing.
Students can choose to focus their study plan on one of these two majors:
1.Electronic with a focus in components and circuits for electronics, microwaves and photonics, networks and telecommunication systems
2.Informatics with a focus on microprocessor architecture,
software engineering, control theory, communication protocols and operating systems.
