The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English.
If the transcript provided by your home school is not in English, you will need to obtain official translations along with verified copies of the original.
You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university.
If you are a non European student residing abroad, you need to do a pre-enrollment via Italian Consulate and start the visa procedures. The official admission at the University of Pavia will be possible only after you will have done this pre-enrollment. Please get in contact with the Italian authority in your country as soon as possible (deadline 24 July).
English language knowledge at a level not lower than B2 of the CEF. In absence of one of the certificates listed on the course website, the knowledge of the English language will be assessed through an interview. Students who hold a citizenship in countries where the English Language is one of the official languages or students who obtained their degrees following courses entirely taught in English do not need to submit any certificate, but only have to submit a document proving that they belong to one of these cases.
A strong technical background in the basic and specific engineering subjects by the applicant is required and will be assessed through the documentation provided (degree certificate and transcript/diploma supplement) and, if necessary, an oral interview in English. The interview may be held through video/web conference call upon the applicant’s motivated request (e.g. for applicants residing abroad).
Specific requirements for Non-EU applicants:
International students residing abroad have to contact the Italian embassy or consulate in their country and submit a PRE-ENROLLMENT application to our university DIRECTLY to them, the deadlines 2019 are between 7th March and 24th July. This is not necessary if you are already in Italy with a regular permit of stay.

This Master Course is designed to shape civil engineers with outstanding scientific and professional skills that are fully aware of the multi-faceted aspects of the seismic and hydrogeological risk. Graduates may find employment in engineering design and consulting offices, construction companies,agencies of civil protection, governmental institutions, regional authorities, management offices, international organizations, insurance and re-insurance companies, research institutions.
