The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English.
If the transcript provided by your home school is not in English, you will need to obtain official translations along with verified copies of the original.
You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university.
If you are a non European student residing abroad, you need to do a pre-enrollment via Italian Consulate and start the visa procedures. The official admission at the University of Pavia will be possible only after you will have done this pre-enrollment. Please get in contact with the Italian authority in your country as soon as possible (deadline 24 July).
Knowledge of the English language at a level no lower than level B1 of the CEF (Common European Framework). The applicant will have to demonstrate her/his knowledge of the English language, upon enrolling for the Master’s Program, by means of suitable documentation. In the absence of proper documentation, knowledge of the English language will be assessed through a test to be given usually at the beginning of September.
Strong background in the basic subjects and in the characteristic engineering subjects.
Specific requirements for Non-EU applicants:
International students residing abroad have to contact the Italian embassy or consulate in their country and submit a PRE-ENROLLMENT application to our university DIRECTLY to them, the deadlines 2019 are between 7th March and 24th July. This is not necessary if you are already in Italy with a regular permit of stay.

The program provides high-level education to graduate students with a bachelor in electronics, communications and other scientific disciplines. Besides traditional courses, the syllabus includes other industry-oriented courses and opportunities for exposure to most recent advances in three different tracks:
- Microelectronics is intended to offer in-depth knowledge in integrated circuits and systems
- Photonics focuses on laser and optical components technologies
- Space Communication and Sensing is a new course combining electronic, high-frequency and remote sensing technologies with the booming world of space-related applications
Job market for a graduate in Electronic Engineering involves many professional’s fields such as manufacturing industry specializing:
• electronic components, devices and systems
• integrated circuits
• optoelectronic components and devices
• instruments for telecommunications systems
• industrial and measurement instrumentation
Graduates basically can work in any industrial sector that uses electronic, electro-optics and electromagnetic technologies. They can also be employed in the service sector, both private and public and as freelancer.
