The Master’s Degree in “Filologia moderna. Scienze della letteratura, del teatro, del cinema” presents two related paths, but also well characterized and autonomous:
Philological-literary and Scriptures for the scene and the screen.
In the Philological-literary curriculum, the course trains graduates endowed with rigorous disciplinary preparation, adequate methods and high philological and linguistic skills in literary studies from the Romance to the modern and contemporary age, with close attention also to historical and cultural contexts.
In the Scriptures for the scene and for the fencing, through the calibrated differentiation of the paths, graduates achieve advanced historical-philological, theoretical and stylistic skills, both on the specific disciplines of the curriculum and on their relationships with literature and language.
The overall achievement in the two curricula of philological, linguistic and historical-critical competences and methods develops in students a cultural awareness and a capacity for critical interpretation of texts and historical-cultural contexts; acquire expressive abilities, adequate disciplinary languages, and a ductile elaboration of today’s culture.
The teaching methods provide advanced specialized courses, managed both with lectures and in seminar and workshop forms, supported by frequent tutoring activities, in strong interaction with the teachers, thanks to the favorable numerical relationship.
