Entry qualification

High school Diploma High-school diploma awarded after at least 12 years of documented education. Access to the Degree Course in Igiene Dentale (Abilitante alla Professione Sanitaria di Igienista Dentale) has a national entry test requirement. THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE INDICATED IN THE ANNUAL ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE COURSE . Check your country specific document requirements for bachelor degree enrollments. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / French / Italian / Spanish. In order to finalize your enrollment, you must submit the scanned version of your original documents.

Territory requirements

This registration is dedicated to prospective students who have obtained the final diploma outside of Italy in order to asses the eligibility of their diploma. At the end of the evaluation process, a letter will be issued by the University of Pavia. This letter, among other things, must be used during the pre-enrollment and visa procedures at the Italian authority in their Country (Consulate, Embassy, authorized agency).

Language requirements

Italian Non-eu students residing abroad who would like to enroll in a study course completely taught in Italian, have to prove their knowledge of the language through an Italian language test. Overview

The Degree Course in “Igiene Dentale” (qualifying for the health profession of dental hygienist) aims to train health workers who carry out activities aimed at prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and functional assessment procedures, with a title and professional autonomy for both individuals and the community, compatible with the skills required by their professional profile.
The course is divided into three years and provides for the acquisition of 180 CFU in total for the purposes of obtaining a degree in Dental Hygiene
The final exam has the status of a state exam, qualifying for professional practice.
The first, second and third year of the course are activated.
Enrollment in the course is subject to passing a specific admission test and on the basis of a quota of places, indicated in the admission announcement for each academic year.
The number of admission places to the first year of the course and as well as the methods and content of the test are established by ministerial decrees.
Every University prepares their own admission test.
