Overview

The Degree in “Filosofia” aims to provide a solid knowledge of the history of philosophical and scientific thought from antiquity to the present and extensive information on the current debates in the different fields of philosophical research (theoretical, logical-epistemological, linguistic, aesthetic, ethical, socio-political, pedagogical).
The aim of the course is not only to provide a set of knowledge, but also to acquire the terminology and methodology for the analysis of problems and for ways of reading and commenting the texts (including in the original language) .
The course has an interdisciplinary vocation typical of philosophy; the degree program requires the training of students to be integrated with other areas of humanistic, scientific, and informatics culture, through teachings that represent specific skills.
A characteristic and highly qualifying aspect of our degree course in Philosophy is in the exceptional books collection collected in the humanities libraries, typical of a traditional European university.
All members can access the Erasmus or the Socrates program, aimed at allowing study periods in European universities involved in these projects, with recognition of exams taken abroad.
Graduates of Philosophy will be able to carry out professional activities in various fields, such as traditional and multimedia publishing, communication, information systems and education.
Graduates ca also perform tasks in public administration in public and private bodies (publishing houses, newspapers, cultural centers, study centers, foundations and in public and private companies in areas such as public relations, communication, tourism, advertising, training of personal, marketing and “creative” advertising, cultural promotion and various professional fields of training).
The course is also a step towards a teaching profession.
