Overview

The Master’s Degree Course in Electrical Engineering aims to train professionals with a strong background in the theorical and practical aspects of the main subjects that characterize electrical engineering.
Graduate have to be able to identify, understand, frame and solve complex issues, typical of this industrial field, with an innovative and interdisciplinary approach.
Our study plan gives students the chance to personally experience the use of tools for experimental researches, of professional computing environments for numerical simulation of the studied phenomena, of design methods in the field of electrical systems and industrial automation.

Students can choose to focus their study plan
between two tracks:
Electrical systems
Energy

Electrical systems’ Track: first year classes are focused on Industrial Electrotechnical, Eletrical Machines, Electrical Systems, Construction of electric machines, process control.
Energy’s Track: first year classes are focused on Industrial Electrotechnical, Renewables, Electrical Measurements, Planning of Energy Transformations, Eletrical Machines, Electrical Systems.

Application process

Candidate’s application will be send to an evaluation committee that may take up to 45 days to provide an answer. The committee’s answer may be:

an unconditional offer: the candidate has been admitted to the study course and he/she will be enrolled directly if the process at the assigned Italian Representative checks out

a conditional offer : the candidate is conditionally admitted to the study course;

failed : the candidate application does not comply with the academic and personal requirements of the study course.

Types of conditions with the conditional offer:

to pass the test that is held at the University of Pavia, twice a year. If the condition is not fullfill and the candidate does not sit for the test or does not pass the test, he/she will not be enrolled

or/and

to complete the academic background with additional subjects before enrolling
