Overview
The Master’s Degree in “ Governo e Politiche Pubbliche “, which belongs to the Public Administration Sciences class, offers a theoretical and practical preparation for the analysis and governance of the complex political systems of the contemporary world, for the promotion, planning, implementation and evaluation of administrative activities and public policies, using a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach.
Special attention is paid to both legal culture, especially relevant in public administrative structures, and to political, social, economic, statistical and historical disciplines, allowing students to investigate issues related to different levels of government, from local to European level, with particular reference to public policies, analyzed from the point of view of demand, supply, their foundations and the tools for their planning and implementation, including in the context of European integration.
The interdisciplinary aspects characterizing the course will allow students to acquire tools for analysis and assessment of administrative processes, government, design, training and justification of public policies and their results.
The knowledge provided is useful for the professional integration into intermediate and upper grades of the different levels of government, in other sectors of public administration, as well as for work as specialists in public administrations and public policy development in various sectors, both public and private.
Graduates can also aid the professional updating of those who work in public administration, in the acquisition of new knowledge for career advancement, for those who are already included in the areas mentioned above, with a view to life-long learning. Finally, graduates will be able to continue their studies and carry out research activity (master and doctorate).
There is also an advanced English language course, aimed at consolidating the linguistic skills already acquired by the students in degree courses and giving a deeper knowledge of disciplinary vocabularies.

The Master’s Degree program provides useful preparation for the following purposes:
1) Professional integration at intermediate and higher levels of local, regional, state and European government, as well as other sectors of public administration, organizations of national and supranational interest;
